What happens during a new patient exam?

We have three types of new patient exams: general, cosmetic and emergency to address specific needs and goals. Each patient is assessed through advanced diagnostics and a treatment plan is discussed with the doctor.
How do you treat gum disease?

Drs. Ma and Dolbik are one of a handful of practices in the area to have invested in the FDA-approved LANAP (Laser-Assisted New Attachment Procedure). The laser combats periodontal disease by vaporizing the infected pockets without damaging connective tissue. It stimulates the body’s natural healing mechanisms. This alternative to gum surgery incurs shorter recovery time, less pain, fewer complications, and can also be applied to early stage or late-stage disease. There are no knives, stitches, sutures or bone removal involved.
Do you offer cosmetic dentistry?

Yes, as smile architects, we tap into a myriad of treatments and personalize the one or ones that best fit your smile. We strategically plan the course of treatment, which may include Invisalign clear braces, veneers, bonding, whitening or dental implants.
What’s the difference between cosmetic bonding and veneers?

Bonding is a resin material that’s applied directly to the tooth to restore its shape and shade. Veneers are overlays designed to cover the fronts of teeth to improve their size and shape. Both can cover stains, chips and other imperfections. Bonding is the least invasive of the two procedures. Ceramic veneers are longer lasting (around 20 years) than bonding, which needs to be redone anywhere from every three to ten years. Veneers take a little longer, as the doctors shave the teeth to prep them for the overlays, and they are costlier.
