As residents of The Dominion, Drs. Ruiwen Ma and Aliaksandr Dolbik founded Dominion Smiles to care for patients in their beloved hometown. Armed with the latest equipment, including a laser, and years of training and expertise—they act in concert to offer advanced, minimally invasive treatment plans dedicated to transforming patients’ dazzling smiles and enhancing and preserving their oral health to last a lifetime. Beyond general and cosmetic dentistry, they perform many specialized services that an endodontist or oral surgeon would, such as wisdom teeth removal and root canals.

Via an intraoral camera for the utmost diagnostic care, to a laser to treat gum disease, these doctors continually seek the lastest advances in the dental field to offer their patients.

SAME-DAY BONDING

For chipped or cracked teeth, Drs. Ma and Dolbik use a composite bonding to restore a tooth’s structure. Within a single appointment, which takes about an hour they choose a resin that matches the tooth color, prep the tooth and shape the putty-like resin to perfect it. It’s then hardened by an ultraviolet light.

With decades of experience, and several advanced science degrees in addition to their dental degrees, this dental team possesses the experience to treat any dental issue. And they are constantly travelling to undergo additional training in emerging technologies.

DR. RuiWEN Ma

Dr. Ruiwen Ma’s career journey began with dental school and a prosthodontic residency in China. Then she received her Master of Science degree in Craniofacial Molecular Biology Dentistry from the University of Southern California before moving to Texas and graduating from the University of Texas Health Science Center Dental School. As a believer in lifelong learning, she pursues continuing education covering emerging minimally invasive procedures such as dental extractions, implant placement and restorations, all-on-4 procedures, detail-oriented root canal treatment, Invisalign and other clear aligner therapies, conventional and prepless veneers/crowns/bridges, removable partial and full dentures, full mouth habitation, sleep apnea, minimal sedation, digital dentistry and laser dentistry.

Dr. Ma says cosmetic dentistry is the most rewarding part of her job and improving people’s smiles is her passion. By adopting the latest advances in procedures and investing in high-tech equipment, she can deliver world-class care and remarkable transformations. She personalizes treatment plans to fit each patient’s individual needs.

Hobbies include spending time with family, baking and sketching. She’s gone on mission trips, worked at dental clinics and volunteers at the local food bank.

DR. Aliaksandr Dolbik

Dr. Aliaksandr Dolbik earned his dental degree with honors at Belarusian State Medical University in his hometown of Minsk, Belarus, with a specialization in prosthodontics. He has been practicing dentistry since 2005, tapping into the most advanced dental technologies and equipment designed to restore and replace teeth. In 2016, he moved to San Antonio to complete the International Dentist Education Program at the University of Texas Health Science Center.

In addition to implants and extractions, Dr. Dolbik focuses on esthetic prosthetic restorations, endodontic therapies, orthodontics, laser therapy for gum disease and many other aspects of advanced dentistry.

He says his favorite part of the career is experiencing the remarkable change in people when you perfect their smile. “Everything else in their lives changes,” he says. “They come back to the office with new hairstyles, new clothes, new attitudes.”

Following a philosophy that each patient is unique, he takes an individual approach to find the best solutions to meet their needs, while treating them like family.

His hobbies are centered around his family and the great outdoors. Dr. Dolbik enjoys taking the family mountain hiking, swimming, skiing and ice skating, as well as volunteering at dental clinics around San Antonio.
